Award Ceremony in the US

In 2019, once again, the ILDA conference took place. The highlight was the prestigious ILDA Awards ceremony. This prize, which is given for the best in laser shows of the year by competitors to competitors, is considered the "Oscar of the laser show industry" and the most objective benchmark in show design. The ILDA – the International Laser Display Association – has been an organization of 169 members, the most influential in the laser show business, since its foundation 33 years ago.

Near the end of the year, at the Embassy Suites of the Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort in Orlando, Florida, the ILDA Artistic Awards have been presented amongst 193 entries – and yet again, LOBO is among the winners. A whole four times this year, LOBO managed to take the lead, and with now 171 awards in total, they could expand their advantage compared to all the other competitors on the ILDA's all-time global ranking. None of the other companies received more awards than LOBO this year – moreover, LOBO was the only participant that managed to achieve two first places!

New this year is the category "Beams/Atmospheric Show with Outboard Effects", in which LOBO received two awards: First place for the show "Tecnoids" as well as second place for the show "Humanity" (show designer: Diana Coenen). For "Tecnoids" in particular, the creative use of effects and reflector mirrors, which contributed to the rhythmic interplay of laser and music is of note; "Humanity" distinguishes itself especially through the harmonious balance of hectic turbulence and gentle tranquility, efficiently illustrated with laser beams – thus judged the jury.

But even in the established categories, LOBO was ahead of the rest: In the category "Laser Photography", the creative director in charge, Matthias Müller-Quernheim, could secure first place for "Power Plant" and second place for "Lightliquid" for the company. The atmospheric focus on the subject of the flower made of light as well as the powerful execution of laser beams flowing into the frame like a liquid were captured perfectly and managed to convince the jury of LOBO's creative efforts twofold.
