Even though the Corona pandemic meant that no awards ceremony could be held in 2020 in the traditional sense of the 34-year existence, the International Laser Display Association - ILDA for short - made a virtue out of necessity and simply moved its annual conference to virtual realms: the first ILDA Cloud Conference, held entirely as a live broadcast, spanned a total of 57 streamed hours spread over three days. As every year, the highlight was the prestigious ILDA Awards, known as the "Oscars of the laser industry", which honor impressive laser shows, laser installations and laser art of the more than 160 members, selected from entries submitted in spring 2020 - even before the pandemic.

Almost as a matter of course, LOBO could again emerge as a multiple award winner among 197 submissions - a whole four so-called Artistic Awards in different categories went to Aalen in 2020. Thus, LOBO not only receives again a remarkable number of awards, but also reaches this year the milestone of 175 ILDA awards in total - and is thus also miles ahead of all others in the industry.
