Summernights with LOBO

From 16 July until 04 September the Holiday Park, located in Hassloch, Rhineland-Palatinate, opened its gates always on Fridays and Saturdays from evening till midnight on the occasion of their event "Summernights". In addition to the well-known attractions, e.g. the Mega-Coaster "Expedition GeForce" or the Water Ski Show, the only existing one in Europe, an atmospheric illumination of the park and numerous special programs make for a summer feeling.

Already for the third time in running, an impressive laser show above the lake of the Aqua Stadium was the absolute highlight of the evening. For the first time, this show was realized by the Southern-German based laser expert LOBO, which is regarded by insiders as the market-leading manufacturer and service provider in this industry. Also in the creative area, the Swabian company is one step ahead: For example, for the six time running LOBO has been awarded with more prizes for extraordinary creative shows than any other enterprise world-wide by ILDA (International Laser Display Association), the global laser show umbrella association, during the last ceremony .

For more than six months the creative designers of LOBO developed the completely tailor-made show program "Power of the Night". LOBO's Creative Director said: "The impressive scenery of the Aqua Stadium and the unique atmosphere in the park, as it is illuminated in the evening, immediately cast a spell over me. Therefore, our show intentionally plays with this scenery and should arouse emotions and fill both young and old with enthusiasm".

The show first recalls the impressions of the park and then spirits the spectators away into a dream world of light and colors. A central theme of the show is the story of a sad clown who gains all his strength and joy in life from the funny hustle and bustle in the arena.

Besides projections onto an innovative approx. 30 - 40 m wide, floating Spray Water Screen, four laser projectors, located along the lake, as well as a ring of 18 fog generators with fans, generate impressive 3-dimensional beam effects. The final touch of the 20-minutes-long spectacle was a music-synchronous pyro-technical part. In order not to get in a conflict with the neighbours of the park, the company Bose installed a well-aimed local sound system for the show in the Aqua Stadium. The controlling of the show was effected on a LACON-5 laser and multimedia workstation.

The premiere of the show took place on 16 July and caused true storms of enthusiasm. Also at the VIP presentation on the next day everybody agreed: This year's "Summernights" laser show has been the absolute summer laser show highlight in Germany and represents a clear enhancement in regards to demands as well as experience value compared with the years before.
