Outdoor shows generally take place in the open air and are often deployed for festivals, company events or plant inaugurations. Lighting effects, fire effects, water screens as well as laser and video projections with specially produced content from the LOBO Studios can be used to give the event a personalised expression. For the inauguration of the world's largest paper mill PM2, for example, we produced a customised overall concept consisting of a laser animation in combination with video mapping and projected it onto the building. What's more, artists or products such as construction machinery, cars, etc. can be integrated into this kind of production.

Wirtgen Mineral Technology Days, Mülheim

Thunderous applause, euphoric guests and amazed clients. Never before the approximately 2500 spectators at the Wirtgen Mineral Technology Days, coming from all parts of the world to Mülheim, experienced their working equipment in such a way. For 20 minutes everything was in motion in the purpose-built show arena: Artists descended from the sky, fought on the 32 m high tower of an asphalt mixing plant, plunged to the ground, speeded towards the audience or raged with furious fire acrobatics around the machines conquering the show arena with an impressive choreography. The audience just went crazy as a giant truck drove in, loaded with a jet-like asphalt burner and accompanied by artists with flame throwers.

Wirtgen Group Technology Days Parade of Innovatins Finale

Wirtgen Group – Parade of Innovations, Ludwigshafen

3.500 people from more than 100 countries came to the "Wirtgen Group Technology Days". LOBO has been in charge for the creative and technical master plan with a team of approx. 50 specialists on-site. The “Parade of Innovations” stages the most innovative products of the Wirtgen Group in a mystic and spectacular ambience in combination with 13 fire-artists, pyros, fire effetcs, light and laser effects in front of a 120 m long huge seating gallery accommodating all visitors. Specifically for the parade a dedicated, asphalted show arena with respectable dimensions of approx. 120 x 70 m was created.

Noaptea Alba, Bucharest

At exactly 2 a.m more than 80,000 enthusiastic spectators along Liberty Boulevard long for the highlight of the „Noaptea Alba“. Then the show begins: Like holograms, the central landmarks of the city seem to float right in front of the audience in mid-air. Laser flashes break through the night, suddenly the spectators are surrounded by colorful, harmoneously moving athmospheric beam effects. Just seconds later massive fire balls dart up to 13m high in the sky. With each passing minute of the show, the euphoria of the masses grows. After 3 encores, the spectacle ends about 45 minutes later.

Progroup - Inauguration PM2, Eisenhüttenstadt

For the inauguration of the world’s largest paper machine for corrugated boards, LOBO created an integrated overall artistic concept consisting of various show blocks inside the gala tent and a giant outdoor multimedia show staging the 2,7 km long facilities: A female artist rises into the air in front of the spectators. She gracefully sparks off the fire in the power plant. Symbolized by a dazzling bright laser beam, the energy is transferred onto the main facility which then comes to life. What initially looked like the regular glass façade, suddenly turns into a stage of unbelievable events. Last but not least, the entire scenery sinks into a frenzy of light and colors in form of three-dimensional laser sculptures.

ProPaper - Inauguration PM1

When the world's largest paper machine at the time - the PM1 - starts production in Burg near Magdeburg, the invited guests will not only be treated to a festive menu and an exciting stage show to accompany the speeches of the Prime Minister, but will also enjoy a spectacular open-air laser show as the highlight of the evening. A laser truck projects a fast-paced time travel, freely floating, almost like a hologram, onto a jet water screen located in front of the factory hall.

"Castillo Mystico" – Europa-Park Resort, Rust

In the final days of the season, the "Spooky Weeks" at Europa-Park captivate visitors every year with an unforgettable array of artists and technology. The imaginative spectacle in the style of a weird horror musical – "Castillo Mystico" – takes place in an elaborate, custom-built castle setting. A total of 6 laser systems created fascinating spatial effects and projected breathtaking images onto 3 gigantic water screens. Live performances, e.g. by Marc Terenzi, were accompanied by spectacular fire effects and water fountains, perfectly matched to the music composed exclusively for the show.

"Mysteria" – Europa-Park Resort, Rust

The huge laser and fire show "Mysteria" was the highlight of every evening during Europa-Park’s "Spooky Weeks". Within this extraordinarily pompous spectacular, unparalleled among German theme parks, the park visitors were abducted in a mystically spooky dream world for 30 minutes. Aside from 6 laser projectors, water and fire effects, video projections onto water surfaces, a whole armada of moving lights as well as impressive fireworks contributed to the spectacle about the forces of nature.

Thyssen Test Tower, Rottweil

LOBO staged a brilliant laser show on the occasion of the newly opened test tower for high-speed elevators worldwide, and the highest viewing platform in Germany. The task was to direct a laser show from a height of 246 m at a distance of 1,300 m into three narrowly defined audience areas – and to connect the eight historical towers of Rottweil with the new Thyssen tower via laser beams to celebrate the upcoming tower festival. The show music played in the three spectator areas was to be synchronized with the laser show and the accompanying fireworks without any delays.

Bazan Event, Bergen

Right in the heart of the Norwegian city of Bergen, LOBO staged a magnificent multimedia show with Spanish flair –in cooperation with the Spanish multimedia artist Albert Ripoll I Coca. Since the show took place on an artificial lake, floating stages and catwalks have been installed for artists and equipment. Over distances of about 300 m, a 57 W Laser Truck® system created extremely bright atmospheric beam effects or projections onto a 30 x 15m Jet Water Screen® in combination with video projections and large-scale fireworks displays.

"Halloween Festival" – Europa-Park Resort, Rust (10 years)

For ten years, LOBO has set unforgettable highlights at the Halloween festival of the Europa-Park attracting up to 45.000 visitors per day. What started as a laser show with dancers eventually became one of the most sophisticated and most spectacular multimedia shows ever performed in European amusement parks with Water Screens, video projections, musical fountains, stage fire effects, fireworks and up to about hundred performers on stage.

A lot of celebrities attend the breathtaking performance to inaugurate Germany’s largest hotel resort in the Europa-Park. Embedded in a show with fireworks, large-scale projections and hundreds of artists, LOBO lasers create atmospheric beam sculptures and abstract laser effects on the gigantic fountains in the center of the Roman-themed hotel.

Poland's answer to Woodstock took place with a total of 400,000 spectators in front of the ruins of Olsztyn Castle. LOBO uses the world’s largest mobile show laser system with additional satellite laser systems to create dazzling atmospheric beam effects and hologram-like projections onto a Jet Water Screen®. The lasers enchant the masses to such a degree that two years later, LOBO is approached again for a similar event on an airfield – with 500,000 spectators.

Bayer AG invites around 700 guests to the legendary Monte Carlo Beach Hotel for the "Third Opinion Leader Symposium". While the participants are still dining around the pool area, a laser show of the finest quality is presented as the crowning finale of the symposium: Virtually free-floating logos and product animations, projected onto a fully-transparent Water Screen which provides a view of the breathtaking backdrop of Monaco behind it.
