LOBO has decades of experience as an exhibitor at many internationally relevant trade fairs in the fields of AV, laser technology, events and marketing. To make impressive presentations and shows possible, we design gigantic booth areas, some of them several thousand square metres in size.
In the 1990s and at the beginning of the new millennium, trade fairs were the optimal marketing instrument for presenting companies and products to a wide audience. However, with the advance of the internet age, trade fairs have lost their importance not just in the AV industry, which is why once important
1994-2013
20x Prolight + Sound - Frankfurt
In the mid-90s, Prolight + Sound, a trade fair for technologies and services for "Entertainment, Integrated Systems and Creation", emerged from the already established Musikmesse. There are now around 800 exhibitors for the more than 40,000 visitors. Right from the start, LOBO was one of the first and largest exhibitors and caused a sensation with spectacular shows, sometimes in entire halls. For many years, the LOBO shows were considered the absolute highlight of the fair and a crowd puller.
1987-2006
16x SIB - Rimini
In the 80s, the SIB was the leading trade fair in terms of technology and design for light, sound and equipment in the disco sector par excellence. More than 45,000 visitors from all over the world flocked to the 600 exhibitors in Rimini - not just because the best discotheques were located there at the time, but also because the most renowned manufacturers of typical disco equipment came from Italy. LOBO excelled at this fair year after year with massive shows on often more than 1,000 m² of stand space.
2003-2013
10x PALME - Dubai
PALME - short for "Professional Audio & Light Middle East" - was the first and most important AV trade fair in the Middle East. Around 160 exhibitors attracted about 7,000 trade visitors at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center. From the very start, LOBO was the "official show act" and usually the largest exhibitor at the fair. A LOBO multimedia show often accompanied the annual opening ceremony by the Emirates' Minister of Economy.

10x PALA - Singapore
PALA (Professional Audio & Light Asia) was considered the most established trade fair for professional AV, broadcast, live entertainment and installation projects in the Southeast Asia region. With over 350 exhibitors from 25 countries, it was held initially in the World Trade Center and later in the modern SUNTEC Singapore International Exhibition and Conference Center. For years, LOBO was the largest exhibitor in the "Laser Showcase" of the fair, providing innovative laser and multimedia shows year after year.
2000
PALA - Philippines
The PALA (Professional Audio & Light Asia) had already been held in Singapore for many years, but from 2000 onwards, the organizers decided to alternate with Singapore and hold it in other Asian countries as well. PALA was thus held for the first time in the Philippines at the World Trade Center in Manila. About 200 exhibitors from 15 countries enthusiastically decided to take part. LOBO also provided the trade fair highlight here in the form of the "Laser Showcase".

PALA - Hong Kong
At PALA (Professional Audio & Light Asia), which had already been held in Singapore for years, the organizers decided to alternate with Singapore and also hold it in other Asian countries from 2000 onwards, to get closer to the respective markets. So the fair was held for the first time in the chic Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. 300 exhibitors from 25 countries participated. As traditionally, LOBO was the official "Laser Showcase" with a unique technical design through projection into a planetarium-like hemisphere.

PALA - Malaysia
At PALA (Professional Audio & Light Asia), which had already been held in Singapore for years, the organizers decided to alternate with Singapore and also hold it in other Asian countries from 2000 onwards, to get closer to the respective markets. PALA was thus held at the International Exhibition Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the first time. Of the approx. 150 exhibitors, LOBO once again stood out with the largest stand in the laser sector.
2006
PALA - India
PALA India was the first pan-Indian international exhibition and conference for professional audio and lighting, AV, broadcast and installation projects for the Indian market. Organized by the professionals of the IIR Exhibition, who also host the PALA in Singapore or the PALME in Dubai, the fair took place for the first time at the NSE Exhibition Complex in Mumbai. LOBO was of course represented with a fitting and spectacular show.
1999-2005
7x World of Events - Wiesbaden
The WOE was an international trade fair that emerged in 1999 as the "successor" to the "German Event". It took place in the Rhein-Main-Hallen Wiesbaden and attracted about 330 exhibitors, with a foreign share of about 10%. With the congress running in parallel, the fair was regarded as the industry summit for entertainment marketing and event services. From the beginning of the fair, LOBO has been an important exhibitor and has presented large laser and multimedia shows for many years, sometimes in completely separate sections of the halls.
1984-1990
4x Discotec - Düsseldorf
"Discotec" was one of the first international trade fairs for the entertainment catering industry. It was first organized by Messe Düsseldorf in 1984 in a two-year cycle until 1990 (i.e. 4 times). The product range focused on lighting, sound, video and equipment for special effects.
LOBO, still together with Avitec in the first year, enlarged its exhibition stand year after year. In 1990, LOBO wasn't just represented with its own excellent stand, but also provided another spectacular laser show at the booth of BOSE Sound.
2007/2008
2x IAAPA Expo - Orlando
IAAPA Expo is an international, annual trade fair specifically for amusement parks and attractions. It is organized by the "International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions", targeting amusement and theme parks, museums and science centres, tourist attractions, zoos and aquariums, water parks, etc. After Atlanta, it was held again in 2007 and 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando and boasts more than 1,100 exhibitors.

3x Show TECH - Berlin
Show TECH is an international trade fair and congress for event and stage technology, equipment and organization, organized by Messe Berlin. Congress, concert and event organizers as well as theater, musical or cabaret directors and professionals from film, radio and television orient themselves at the fair. LOBO provided "Magical Moments" for the trade visitors with shows on sometimes more than 2,000 m² stand area and the use of the legendary Laser Trucks.

4x Photokina - Cologne
Photokina was considered the world's leading trade fair for the photo, video and imaging industry. It was organized every two years by Messe Köln. Due to the increasing internationalization of Photokina, it became the world fair for image/sound/professional media, with 1,600 exhibitors from 46 countries and well over 160,000 visitors from 137 countries. In this immense setting, LOBO occupied the largest stand area in the professional media sector with more than 1,300 m², a kind of trade fair within the trade fair. Each of the half-hourly multimedia shows thrilled several thousand spectators - the trade fair highlight par excellence.

4x LASER - Munich
LASER - World of Photonics - is an international trade fair with an associated congress and is regarded as the leading trade fair for innovative and applied optoelectronics. It is organized by Messe München every 2 years and attracts up to 1,200 exhibitors from 42 countries. Although this trade fair, covering topics such as laser manufacturing, medical technology, optical measuring systems, etc., doesn't actually address the "classic" target group of show laser systems, LOBO nevertheless exhibited several times, in some cases even with booth space in a dimension that was ideally suited for the presentation of the Laser Trucks.

2x LDI - Orlando
The LDI (Lighting Dimension International) is one of the leading trade fairs for "Design and Technology of Entertainment and Architectural Lighting". It's organized by the New York-based magazine of the same name, and the fair itself takes place in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center in addition to Las Vegas and Reno. It features more than 300 exhibitors. The coveted "LDI Award" is also presented at the fair. It went to LOBO in 1993 for the "Laser Show of the Year".

Prolight + Sound - Shanghai
Prolight + Sound Shanghai is an international trade fair for event and communication technology, AV productions and entertainment. It's held together with "Music China" at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. It's organized in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt and has about 130 exhibitors from 35 countries. LOBO presented a spectacular laser show every half hour.

ADP - Hamburg
The ADP is the Association of German-speaking Planetariums, which holds a large annual conference in different locations. In 2004, this conference took place in the Hamburg Planetarium. About 130 representatives of planetariums, museums and research institutions accepted the invitation. LOBO was also present with an information booth on laser products for dome projections, and of course there was also a live demonstration of the TriDome laser system directly in the dome of the planetarium.

Management & Marketing Services - Frankfurt
Management & Marketing Services is the largest international trade fair for marketing and communication, targeting advertising agencies, conferences, congresses, exhibition stand construction and outdoor advertising as a holistic approach to marketing. Messe Frankfurt was able to attract around 750 exhibitors from all over Europe for this event. On the largest booth, LOBO presented a spectacular laser performance every hour, captivating the trade fair visitors.
1996
SALA - Bangkok
SALA (Sound And Light Asia) was the first and only professional sound and light exhibition for the entertainment industry in Thailand, Vietnam, Burma and Laos. The fair was organized by AEMS Exhibition at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The partitioned Plenary Hall with almost 1,500 m² of space offered LOBO an ideal presentation opportunity for the official trade fair laser show at half-hourly intervals.

Europäischer Filmtheaterkongress - Wiesbaden
The trade congress, which was organized in cooperation with the Forum Film-Mediengesellschaft and the Hauptverband Deutscher Filmtheater, took place in the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden on the occasion of the anniversary "100 Years of Cinema". More than 100 exhibitors showcased their products and services to the trade public. With two laser systems, LOBO tried to make the medium of laser accessible to the cinema market - for entertainment as well as for advertising purposes.

Hotel Product - Antalya
Hotel Product 1993 was a national trade fair held at the Dedeman Hotel and Convention Center in Antalya. It was addressed to the important and booming tourism area in Turkey and especially to the 5-star hotels with clubs and discotheques. The individually customized laser projection on the LOBO stand attracted great interest and was very well received by the visitors.

ECSITE - München
ECSITE is an association based in Belgium that is a European network of science centres and museums - 350 organisations are affiliated with it. At the annual conference, which took place in 2003 at the Deutsches Museum, LOBO exhibited laser products of interest for dome projections with an information booth at the local planetarium.

ACF - Brüssel
The ACF - or "Audiovisual Creative Fair" - was, as the name suggests, an international trade fair in the audio/visual and multimedia sectors, held for the 10th time in 2003 at the Exhibition Center in Brussels.
Around 15,000 visitors met 150 exhibitors under the motto "Where Technology Meets Production". The highlight of the fair was the festive presentation of the "Golden Eye" awards. Here, LOBO was honored with the award in the category "Best Multimedia".

EXPOMUSICA - Madrid
Expomusica was a trade fair for professional lighting and audio equipment as well as musical instruments, etc. It was organized by the Madrid trade fair company IFEMA in what was then the Casa de Campo near the city centre. It was organized by the Madrid trade fair company IFEMA in the former fairground "Casa de Campo" near the city centre. LOBO presented a spectacular laser show with 2 tandem laser systems and the transputer-based LACON-3 controller in the 150 m² booth - an absolute novelty for the nineties.

INFOCOMM - Anaheim
INFOCOMM is considered the largest professional audiovisual trade fair in North America. The organizer of the annual trade fair is AVIXA - the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association - a US-based association for professional AV. Its venues change. In 1994, INFOCOMM took place at the Anaheim Convention Center near Los Angeles with about 400 exhibitors. LOBO was represented here with its North American partner ICT.

Disco contact - Ibbenbüren
The Disco contact Ibbenbüren trade fair is a trade fair for scene and disco catering, which takes place at the AURA disco. Around 80 exhibitors present their disco-related products and services at this trade fair in Ibbenbüren and exhibit the latest trends from the industry. The range of products includes event and booking agencies, lighting, laser and sound technology as well as DJ equipment. Various workshops and seminars also make Disco contact an excellent communication platform for the disco scene.

World Lighting Fair - Tokyo
The World Lighting Fair was the premier international trade fair for the entertainment industry in Japan. It took place in the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Halls and attracted around 20,000 trade visitors. 56 exhibitors from 13 countries showcased their products from the fields of lighting, sound, stages, TV, architectural lighting and events. With the largest booth in the laser and multimedia sector, LOBO presented a spectacular show every hour, generating considerable interest among the trade audience.

TiLE - Straßburg
TiLE is an international conference and trade fair targeting leisure and entertainment attractions such as theme parks, museums, planetariums, etc. It was held at the Palais des Congrès in Strasbourg. Besides top-class conference speakers, there were also about 60 exhibitors. During the fair, LOBO was awarded the renowned TiLE Award in the category "Excellence New Product" for its presentation of the novel laser and multimedia workstation LACON-5.

Musicalia - Lisbon
Musicalia was the most important trade fair for audio, lighting, video and musical instruments in Portugal. It was held by the FIL (Feira International de Lisboa) in the new Exhibition and Congress Center in Lisbon, situated on the former Expo grounds directly at the Tejo river. The LOBO laser systems were presented in a spectacular multimedia show, backed by light, water and pyro effects from Grupo Total.

PLASA - London
The PLASA Sound & Light Show is UK's leading trade fair for lighting and sound equipment. It's organized by the Eastbourne-based trade association of the same name. More than 130 exhibitors from the professional lighting and audio sector were already represented at the Olympia 2 exhibition centre in London in 1990. LOBO presented one of the first RGB laser systems with fiber-optic projectors at the Laser Systems booth.

German Event - Wiesbaden
German Event was the first ever German trade fair for event marketing and technology. Right from the start, around 200 exhibitors showed up to present their products and services to the visitors in the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden. LOBO, as the largest exhibitor, occupied the entire hall 7 and was part of the official programm of the fair with the multimedia show "Secrets of Bermuda". Two laser trucks in front of the hall provided the show inside with laser light.

Technova - Graz
Technova International is a high-tech and innovation trade fair for the specialist areas of flexible automation, information and communication technology as well as innovative products and design. It's the largest and most important high-tech specialist trade fair in Austria; with over 250 exhibitors, it attracted more than 15,000 visitors. The LOBO products were on display in the form of a laser programming station as well as a complete laser show in a completely darkened hall.

Interkama - Düsseldorf
Interkama was an international trade fair for industrial communication technology as well as automation and measurement technology. It was initially held in Düsseldorf as an independent trade fair and later became part of the Hannover Messe. Normally, this venue wouldn't be the ideal target group for show laser technology, but since transputers are used in the LACON control system, LOBO set up a joint stand there for the new transputer technology.

Other fairs...
Over the years, LOBO has also participated in countless in-house trade fairs, exhibitions and university contact fairs such as IKOM, or in a variety of conferences such as ILDA. For example, LOBO co-hosted the conference in Stuttgart in 2000, and was the sole organiser of the largest conference ever held in the laser show sector in 2013 - this time in Aalen.
