satellite - Professional RGB Diode Laser Projectors
A new generation of extremely minituarized RGB diode laser projectors.
"satellite" is a new series of professional RGB diode laser projectors, allowing for an extreme miniaturization of the actual projector head thanks to the separation of electronics and opto-mechanics. Although it is only half as big as a shoe box, it captivates with the usage of powerful laser diodes with special optics and an unrivalled brightness. For green and blue lasers, only 2 diodes per color are exactly overlaid by a polarization process to double the brightness.
Both electronically and mechanically, "satellite" is designed for maintenance-free and reliable continuous operation. In comparison to established diode lasers, there are no countless sensitive micro-mechanics for the arrangement of beams. This significantly reduces the constant re-alignment of the lasers, even in rough off-road usage.
With a typical total brightness (with PCS) ELB200 of 328 W/m2 and a maximum output power of 8.2 W at the source, the projectors are generously dimensioned for many indoor applications. The selected wavelengths (red 639 nm, green 525 nm, blue 445 nm) and the used laser types provide an excellent white balance of the system. The typical life time of the laser modules is several thousands of hours.
Adjustable Safety Areas
The laser projector satellite has feature unique in the entire industry: digitally paramterizable safety areas, directly adjustable on the device via the display or by remote control software via LACON-5®.
As a standard, 4 safety areas can be set for each projector. Each safety area can be individually activated or deactivated.
The safety areas are stored in the hardware of the projector and synthesized as hardware. If a fault occurs in the hardware, it is detected by the next device in the DDL® chain and the laser array manager immediately shuts off the laser. Hence, the system operates 100% error-free through communication among the devices. The safety areas operate fully digitally – thus, neither the target signal for the scanners, nor the color data of the lasers are affected in the slightest, as is the case with solution in the analog signal path for projectors of other manufacturers.
Low-noise
A large, low-noise ventilator with fully-automated temperature-dependent control ist integrated into the projector head of the satellite. With this, the systems can even be used in noise-sensitive areas, for example in planetariums.
