skybeam

Be it as a single static beam vertically into the sky or horizontally with several beams of a grating: a skybeam is sure to draw everyone's attention.

The beam pattern of the outdoor-proof, laser-based skybeam is wholly innovative: significantly slimmer, sharper and finer than that of a conventional “space cannon”, but not a thin, green “clothesline” familiar from standard lasers.

Even over a distance of several kilometers, the beam of the skybeam is still perfectly visible. With its enormous power, the low beam diameter and the small divergence, this technology will be the perfect solution for many projects.

Product overview

With its innovative features, the skybeam is certainly predestined for eye-catching applications, which will not only amaze visitors on location, but also potential guests in the immediate and wider surroundings. In addition to the installation of several modules as conventional beam lasers, coming together in a pyramide- or web-like shape above the heads of the visitors and thus providing an

eyecatcher, the usage of special optics also allows for the creation of impressive effects, such as a starry sky made of laser points. Furthermore, any number of modules can be "stacked" to create even brighter laser beams with a power of several thousands of Watts.

Product Features

Built for Extremes

The skybeam is suitable for outdoor operation, with its IP54 housing fully protecting it against touch as well as splash water from all directions.

Energy Efficiency

Compared to conventional solutions, the skybeam convinces with its exceptional energy efficiency. In contrast to the approx. 400 Watts of power consumption of a skybeam, a space cannon requires 8,000 Watts - this corresponds exactly to a factor of 20(!) in favor of the laser solution. Thus, light pollution, often a point of criticism of environmentalists, is basically eliminated, as 100 Watts of laser light yield a better result “in the air” than 7,000 Watts of a XENON lamp.

Virtually maintenance-free

The skybeam is designed for maintenance-free, reliable continuous operation. In contrast to established solutions, time-consuming, permanent readjustments are not even necessary in road usage. The laser modules have a typical lifetime of several thousand operating hours.

Easy handling

The system allows for quick assembly. In addition to standard mounting with a bracket, the devices also offer fine adjustment after the actual assembly for the exact orientation of the laser beam.

skybeam - Demo Video

This video, which was recorded for documentary purposes, excellently exempliefies the impressive reach and brightness of the skybeam. Even as a single beam, a skybeam is sure draw everyone’s attention.

skybeam – Test Set-up

This test set-up shows the enormous performance of the skybeam, with its smaller beam diameter and the lower divergence – compared to XENON spotlights – offering the perfect solution for many applications.

skybeam – High-quality Housing

Not only the performance of the skybeam is convincing - with a height of about 1.5m, the high-quality housing of the device is a real eyecatcher.

skybeam – Stacking

Thanks to the extremely slim build of the skybeam, a matrix-like arrangement ("Stacking") of any desired number of additional units to increase brightness is also possible – i.e., the beams of the individual devices are located so close to each other that they appear as a single overall beam to observers. This way, laser beams with several thousands of Watts (!!) can be generated – globally unique.

skybeam – Cross-section

In the cross-section of the skybeam, the electronics on the left, the actual laser unit with cooling system in the middle, and the possibility for fine adjustment with multi-stage, adjustable collimation optics on the right are clearly visible.

skybeam – Special Optics - Starry Sky

Instead of a single beam into the sky, so-called grating optics can be used to split up the individual beams into hundreds of separate beams, which exit the device in a wide angle. By projecting such a fan onto a surface, the impression of a starry sky with thousands of light points is created.

skybeam – Line Optics

For line optics, the beam of the skybeam is split up into a multitude of individual beams, exiting the device in a fan-like shape, but still extremely bright.
