Almost one third of all ILDA Awards for LOBO Laser Systems

When the international umbrella association of all manufacturers and service providers of laser shows gathers to award the best among their ranks, a qualified assessment can be expected – as was the case on 13 November in Burlington/Canada. As every year, the “International Laser Display Association” (ILDA) awarded 37 of its prestigious trophies on the occasion of its tenth meeting. LOBO electronic from Aalen took home no less than eight awards, more than any other laureate. Laser Entertainment, the exclusive dealer of LOBO laser systems in Italy and producer of numerous shows for LOBO, received another three ILDA Awards. LOBO and Laser Entertainment even received one more joint certificate.

This year, it became quite apparent that LOBO was the international leader, in particular in fields that were in high demand with customers. First and foremost, this concerns beam shows and three-dimensional beam effects, commonly used in theaters, at mega events, product presentations or in discotheques. Accordingly, LOBO took first place in all beam show categories as well as one second and one third place.

In the event sector, LOBO also played to its strengths like no other manufacturer with a wide range of different applications: This year, all of LOBO’s fair presentations received either a first or a second prize.

In particular, the various deployments of the LOBO Laser Truck – probably the world’s largest mobile show laser system – certainly took the jury by storm. Among the laureates was a mega event in front of 400,000 spectators in Poland as well as the multimedia presentation of the women’s magazine AMICA. Laser Entertainment received another first prize for a show commissioned by LOBO, which brings a reconstruction of Abu Simbel in the amusement park Gardaland to live each evening with state-of-the-art laser technology.

Among LOBO’s animation shows, the judges praised the sensitive integration of the laser medium into a performance at the Karl May Festival in Bad-Segeberg, as well as the innovative use of state-of-the-art technologies such as motion capturing for the lifelike animation of three-dimensional laser characters.

We provide more and more creative heads with an opportunity to introduce new ideas to the design of laser and multimedia shows.

At the same time, the update of the operating system for the animation computers of the LACON series with several important features allows us to work more efficiently than ever before. The fact that, with a total of twelve prizes, around a third of all award-winning shows were created on LACON computers speaks for itself.

With this array of measures, the LOBO Studios now produce about 30 to 40 shows annually for a demanding international clientele, composed of large enterprises, advertisers, theaters, planetariums, amusement parks and discotheques."
