Two design prices for sparks - red dot Design Award
Unique in the show laser industry: After the iF Product Design Award, LOBO's "sparks" laser projector now also receives the internationally renowned red dot Design Award.

With the innovative sparks laser projector coming out on top among no less than 2,486 submitted products from 39 countries at this year’s iF Product Design Awards, the jury of the Design Center Essen now also announced that LOBO’s sparks product line is among the winners of the red dot Design Awards and will be included in the exhibition of the red dot Museum.
With more than 12,000 applications from over 60 countries, the red dot Design Award is, along with the iF Product Design Award, one of the world’s largest design competitions and is considered an internationally recognized seal of approval for outstanding design quality.
In an industry where functional-aesthetic designs are shockingly rare, it is considered something of a minor sensation that a laser projector will be awarded in both competitions for the first time in particularly competitive categories, which were previously dominated by elegant flat screen monitors and home entertainment systems.
With the sparks system, LOBO once again sets standards for an entire industry, while simultaneously proving that shape and function have to form an inseparable unit for professionally used products in the laser entertainment sector as well as in all other industry branches.
Indeed, the sparks system is far more than just good optics combined with practicability and functionality. “sparks” stands for a thoroughly thought out new concept, which pushes the industry’s boundaries, in particular due to its exceptional brightness.
At LOBO, the Creative Director as well as product designer Hariolf Briggl are primarily responsible for design and construction of the device.
Briggl: "The sparks projector most certainly catches the eye. Even in optically sensitive areas, such as exhibition spaces, exclusive clubs or at fair stands, its design guarantees an excellent appearance. Of course, functionality is the most decisive factor: For example, the design guarantees thermally perfectly decoupled, optimal and individual cooling of the modules for a particularly long lifespan of the lasers and continuous operation even at high ambient temperatures."
