Diving into the 3rd Dimension
On the largest stand in the laser and multimedia sector at the Prolight + Sound, LOBO presented a spectacular show, real 3D sound, hologram-like walkthrough-projections and lots of innovations for laser shows.
This year, LOBO could hardly be missed at the Prolight + Sound fair. Exactly in the center of hall 11.0, directly adjacent to the Portalhaus, the laser and multimedia specialists from Aalen impressed with an awe-inspiring booth, which was entered by walking through hologram-like projections of the spatially rotating company logo. An impressive effect, generated with a state-of-the-art HoloFlow fog screen and a conventional video projector, which put quite a few passersby into a state of awe.
With the new multimedia show “Castillo Mystico”, developed in cooperation with Calren Studios and Europa Park, the LOBO booth became a central attraction of the entire hall every thirty minutes. Often, spectators waited long before the show and repeatedly to secure one of the coveted spots in the center of the show arena.
And the wait was rewarded: With an entire Armada of high-performance state-of-the-art laser projectors, a 16m wide video panorama, a Water Screen, fire effects, scent and real 3D sound, the award-winning show designers of LOBO generated a spectacular multimedia experience for all senses.
With “bliss”, LOBO for the first time presented state-of-the-art diode lasers, which do not require the otherwise market-standard parallel beam sequencing thanks to real beam overlay. While this is LOBO’s smallest and most affordable multicolor solution, its beam brightness and quality is barely distinguishable from the award-winning “sparks” series, on whose basis LOBO is building the arguably brightest multicolor lasers in the world. The advantage of “bliss”: The systems are not only available as complete projectors, but can also upgrade existing projectors as a compact laser module at an affordable price.
LOBO CEO Bopp: “With ‘bliss’, we once again proved that a high output power alone is no guarantee for a bright laser. I think we were able to prove impressively at the fair compared to the competition that the beam quality in particular makes a decisive difference – with significant advantages in the brightness / cost balance.”
Furthermore, LOBO presented for the first time the digitally controlled AMP-6 scanning system and a sparks dual head system in practical application. In addition, LOBO doubled the selection of available sparks modules with modules in new performance classes and additional base colors, such as orange, cyan and azure blue.
However, probably the most striking innovation was the ring of speakers of the new 3D sound system of LOBO’s cooperation partner IOSONO, operating on the basis of wave-field synthesis.
Bopp: “With this, you can place a sound source at any place within a room in real time and walk around it. Anyone who has heard it once will have a hard time readjusting to 7.1 Surround Sound.”
Fittingly, LOBO opened an IOSONO show room in its studios – one of the few locations in the world, where real 3D sound can be experienced live.
