ILDA Awards 2004 in Las Vegas

On the occasion of its annual meeting the International Laser Display Association (ILDA), the umbrella organisation of the laser show industry, honours the best laser shows of the year in categories with the so-called ILDA Awards which is regarded by experts as the "Oscar" of laser shows.

During the glamourous ceremony in the ballroom of the ‚Venetian' in Las Vegas many things were different compared with previous years: For the first time there were no first, second and third prizes as well as honourable mentions in each category. Per category only the best show of the year received an award.

Despite these strict regulations, LOBO received also this year with 11 nominations and three "Laser Oscars" for the seventh time running more ILDA Awards for outstanding creative achievements than any other company. Until today LOBO received totally 72 ILDA Awards.

The winning shows in detail:

The TV trailer "Unser Drittes" created by LOBO and shown on the TV network of Südwest-3 was successful against strong competitors as e.g. a music video by Usher and received the ILDA Award for the best application of laser in film and television.

The beam show "Massive Impact", produced on the occasion of this year's "Summernights-Laser Show", received an award as the best beam show of the year using multiple laser projectors.

Last-but-not-least LOBO was able to maintain its lead in the most wanted and therefore most prestigious category "Graphic Show" with the Australian-themed multi media spectacle "Billabong" as the best show of the year.
