A fascinating, breathtaking laser show was one of the highlights at “Technova International 90”, the trade fair for new technologies and innovations at Messe Graz. The laser show about the various applications of such beams can be seen every two hours in a special room in hall 12 from today, 6 June, until 8 June.

“Beam show” is the name of this unique event in Graz, which will enthrall visitors of “Technova International” during the upcoming three days. As part of this trade fair for new technologies and innovations from Wednesday, 6 June, until Friday, 8 June, the Styrian technology consultation center Technova and the newspaper “Kleine Zeitung” will present an attractive laser show. This event from the field of modern means of communication will show an impressive symbiosis of art and complex technology. The stylistic element of computer animation in particular is given a naturally lively character through the fascination of the light figures and the combination with a picturesque sound backdrop.
The show gives a good impression on how far the limits of modern means of presentation have already been pushed and of the great things that can be expected in the future. The laser show is embedded in an exhibition under the title “Laser – Quality at the Speed of Light”, which contains an additional two areas:
Firstly, a holography gallery, presenting the manufacturers of holograms for the first time and giving excellent insights into the possibilities of holography as a means of advertisement. The attractive and contrasting comparison of Russian and western European exhibits from artistic and technical applications freshens up the gallery. Secondly, the various applications of laser technology are shown, such as in measurement technology, quality control and processing technology, presented by the exhibiting companies. An accompanying symposium is dedicated to translating the concept of quality into economic success.
But back to the laser show, which will be presented several times per day from 6 to 8 June in a special room in hall 12 of Messe Graz International. Anyone who has never seen a laser show shouldn’t miss this one – you can’t help but marvel when you see all these computer-controlled movements, when suddenly bizarre landscapes emerge that merge into geometric figures that blur, disappear and then, completely unexpectedly, lettering or words scurry by. Weeks or even months of hard work were poured into this spectacular marvel of beams.
The possibilities of a laser show are breathtaking and diverse; there is nothing that can’t be done. Even an advert of the “Kleine Zeitung” was recreated with lasers – the woman with a pumpkin, from which an oil rig emerges, was traced with laser beams.
