LOBO at CyberOne Award
LOBO Managing Director Lothar Bopp gives keynote speech at the CyberOne high-tech award ceremony
On Thursday evening, the Concert Hall in Karlsruhe served as the location for two top-class founder events: The award ceremony for the ‘CyberOne Award’ and the exhibition ‘Gründerzeit’. Both events not only drew a diverse crowd of founders to the city, but also celebrities from the worlds of economy and politics, including the Minister of Finance and Economcy, Dr. Nils Schmid, and the entrepreneur Lothar Bopp.
Since 1999, the CyberOne Award is presented annually, with start-ups and growth companies from the high-tech industry among the participants. This year, 52 companies heeded the call for tender. Now, the top four were awarded at a gala event in the Karlsruhe Concert Hall. For the first place at CyberOne, a total of EUR 100,000 in cash and non-cash prizes was awarded. Minister Dr. Nils Schmid handed the awards over to the entrepreneurs.
As an example for how rewarding going one’s own path can be, the entrepreneur Lothar Bopp took the stage in the Karlsruhe Concert Hall. Within 30 years, his company, LOBO electronic GmbH, grew from a niche provider to one of the global leaders in the field of laser shows and multimedia.
