"20 Years of Laser Shows"
LOBO
Following the conclusion of one of the most successful years in the company’s history, the South-German laser specialist LOBO from Aalen recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Founded by Lothar Bopp on his 19th birthday as a one-man company, LOBO is now considered by many to be the global number 1 in the laser show sector.
Despite all hurdles, LOBO managed to significantly increase its turnover in the fourth quarter of 2001, not least due to the market launch of the laser and multimedia workstation LACON-5. With installations in the large planetariums in Stuttgart and Hamburg and the Forum der Technik in Munich, LACON-5 established itself as the new standard in German planetariums right from the start. In the event sector, the company also was exceptionally successful. Sales in Jordan, UAE and Saudi Arabia provided for a good start into 2002. In addition, LOBO produced the birthday show of the king of Jordan as well as the opening of the Albatain Fahd Library in Saudi Arabia on behalf of local laser providers. In recent weeks, LOBO also completed the installation of a new multimedia attraction for a Chinese amusement park.
