Almost everyone knows LOBO laser systems from exhibitions, events or installations. But only few have had the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the light magicians from Aalen. But this could soon change for some.
Managing director Lothar Bopp commented: “We often notice that planning offices, light designers and agencies tend to be overly cautious when it comes to lasers. At first glance, the technology might appear to be rather exotic and too complex. Additionally, few people are fully aware of the creative possibilities of laser. We are also often met with confusion when it comes to the basics that have to be observed with respect to laser safety. Within the industry, there are countless rumors and half-truths regarding lasers. The result: The enormous potential of lasers can only rarely be capitalized or is often not even considered. At the latest since we have observed an alarmingly careless handling of lasers, some of which are quite powerful, with the increasing spread of cheap lasers from the Far East, it was time for us to act.”
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the specialist from southern Germany has thus invited interested parties from the light, show and agency industry to a free one-day seminar, where a small, selected group of participants will receive practical assistance and tips for professional laser applications. It is intended to help in a neutral way to plan appropriate events and provides comprehensible criteria to objectively evaluate offers from different providers. The topics not only include the basic functioning of laser systems, but also laser safety and various creative solutions for the application of lasers with practical examples. In addition, there is ample time for open discussions as well as some shows in the almost legendary LOBO Studios.
Bopp: “This offer is not intended for laser freaks or laser show professionals, for whom we have been holding special events for a long time, but rather for project planners and show and event organizers, who want to broaden their horizons in this field. Participation is free, refreshments will be served and our team will be glad to assist participants in finding suitable accommodation.”
