Summer Well 2025 Buftea, Romania
This year, LOBO’s Water Screen once again created magical moments at the festival.
For 51 weekends a year, the Romanian town Buftea, just outside of Bucharest, is rather peaceful. However, for three days each August, this tranquility comes to an end. Then, tens of thousands have a gigantic party with Indie, Rock and Pop music at the Summer Well Festival.
During the 14th edition of the festival, held annually since 2011 near a historic palace, the location was once again filled to the brim with stages and installations, where a total of 21 bands, including big names of the scene such as Snow Patrol, Empire of the Sun or Elderbrook, demonstrated their talents.
In addition to all of these musical highlights, the organizers once again put together a diverse supporting program. As every year since 2016, a Spray Water Screen from LOBO took center stage and set the scene for magical moments at the small forest lake on the festival grounds.
Be it for a welcome cool down during the day or with brilliant colorful projections at night – over the years, the Water Screen has become a favorite photo hotspot for the festival goers, serving as the backdrop for countless profile pictures on social media.
Obviously, the most in demand motif is the projection of the festival logo onto the Water Screen, but the projections also include images of the palace, which once even served as an authentic backdrop for a Dracula movie production, as well as more abstract designs.
Traditionally, the smallest version of the Water Screen with only one pump is used and made available to the organizers year after year from LOBO’s extensive rental park. Still having a projection surface with a width of 20 meters, this “entry-level version” of the Water Screen offers a lot of room for impressive presentations. The stainless steel construction is supported by 6 floating pontoons to hold it above the surface of the lake.
Incidentally, the application at Summer Well was not the only highlight of the summer for LOBO’s diverse Water Screens. For the second year in a row, one of the largest models, with three pumps and a projection surface with a width of up to 42 meters, has been causing a sensation at an art installation on Lake Klopein in Austria since July.
Next year, the Summer Well Festival is scheduled to take place from 7 until 9 August – while no bands are confirmed as of now, the Water Screen will surely be a major visitor attraction once again.
