According to different independent market analysts LOBO is the technological market leader in show laser business. Now, the company just moved to new futuristic looking premises, with features and size probably unique in the entire show laser industry.
Situated at an exposed position, the building is visible from very far. A 15m high tower is connecting its different wings spreading in all directions like a fan. Mirrored blue glass facets, dominant steel elements and intersecting aluminum fronts give the new company headquarters a futuristic and timeless look.
The two-story entrance hall with a gallery and walkways to the administration rooms exudes esprit and a spacious ambience thanks to its clear design language, plenty of air space and sophisticated lighting. The canteen on the second floor of the tower allows views of the surrounding parts of the building. The avant-garde design not just looks good, it also facilitates cabling, material handling and improves the coordination of production sequences. The modern heating, ventilation and air condition systems as well as electrical installations were planned according to ecological aspects.
In the final stage of construction, the built-up area without circulation area is 3000 m² , the usable area is approx. 4000 m² and the enclosed space in the final stage of construction is an impressive 25000 m².
LOBO´s President Lothar Bopp: "Laser is a medium needing a lot of space. Two smaller production studios and our big multimedia studio with a gallery for 250 spectators are the perfect location for the production and rehearsal of even most demanding largescale projects for our international customers.”
The studio really is unique: half of the eight laser projectors are motorized and can be driven down from the ceiling. About 240 effect and deflection mirrors enable an optimal use of the space. For the demonstration of the well-known LOBO Water Screens®, a 60 m² basin is integrated in the middle of the studio. Both the indoor Water Screen®, which works according to the waterfall principle, and an outdoor Water Screen® consisting of fountain segments are used. These special projection screens generate a wall of water to project graphics which seem to the spectator to float in the air. In addition, another 26 conventional projection screens of all types - some of them rolling, some of them gathered, some guided on tracks, some to be folded down from the ceiling or from the walls - complete the large range of projection media. Five light scanners, 20 slide projectors, approx. 120 spotlights, wind generators, flame effects, 2 fiber optics star curtains, and four Hughes-JVC and Barco video projectors, fed by hard disk players, are available for the production of multimedia highlights. To ensure that the sound system, which at 10kW is certainly not under-dimensioned, also gets to the heart of the action, the audience stands on a vibrating floor that makes the ground shake with every bass beat. The entire system is controlled by the LACON series of laser and multimedia workstations developed by LOBO. A sophisticated system allows the presentation of all control systems and projectors developed by LOBO under realistic conditions. Most amazing is the fact that you will not find one single laser in the studio! Glass fibers conduct the laser light from the neighboring laser labs into the studio. Many of the innovative products that have made LOBO a major player in show laser technology and won countless international awards were developed in these laboratories.
Next to the labs you will find the production, packaging and dispatch departments. The production department is surrounded by the 4 warehouses with a total of 1000 m² usable space to facilitate the direct supply from outside.
No doubt that new trend-setting ideas for the whole show laser industry will originate from these halls.
