On February 14, 2017, the Hamburg Planetarium reopened its doors after an 18-month renovation phase. With a budget of almost 10 million euros, the star theater was completely modernized and equipped with the very latest technology. The heart of the system - the laser and multimedia technology - was delivered and installed by LOBO electronic GmbH in record time just a few weeks before the opening. Under the starry dome, the Aalen-based company now provides magic moments and an unforgettable 360-degree experience with one of the largest and most modern show laser systems in the world. The high-tech laser system consists of ultra-bright lasers of the sparks® series - the brightest laser systems in the world. Through intelligent color mixing, more than 16 million colors can be generated here. The corresponding laser modules are mounted in the sparks® PowerDeck, a so-called laser light server, and connected via fiber optics to the laser projectors in the star hall. The spectacular 360-degree effect of the laser projections under the star dome is provided by the LOBO TriDome® system, which makes the dome-filling projections possible.
