Every year, the "ILDA AWARDS", the Oscars of the laser show industry, are awarded in Las Vegas for the best laser show in a total of eleven categories. For the first time, no first, second or third prizes plus honorable mentions were awarded in each category. Rather, only the best show of the year received an award in each category. With a total of ten nominations and three “Laser Oscars” received more ILDA Awards for outstanding creative achievements than any other company for the seventh time in a row – despite these stricter rules. With this, LOBO has received a total of 72 ILDA Awards to date. In 2004, awards were won by the TV trailer “Unser Drittes”, which is broadcast on Südwest 3, for the best use of laser in film and television, the Summer Nights laser show “Massive Impact” as best beam show, and by the multimedia spectacle “Billabong” as best show of the year.
