With the awards for creative achievements in the areas of Beam Show, Innovative Application and Laser Photography presented in Baltimore at the end of 2016, LOBO cracked the 160 mark and thus continues to lead the all-time ranking of the number of ILDA Awards of all laser show providers worldwide. In the category "Beams/Atmospherics Show for a Single X-Y Scanner Pair", which is especially important for laser shows, the laser specialists from Aalen won the 1st place with the show "Future City" by show designer Philipp Wendt. Due to an extremely high degree of precision, especially in this show the impression is created that the lasers do not interpret the music, but play the music themselves.

LOBO received another award in the category "Innovative Application" with its laser installation for the Bosch booth at the IAA in Frankfurt, where three LOBO laser projectors breathed life into large-format prints in the background. Also in the category "Laser Photography" there was an award for a spectacular photo from the show "Alpha Sphere" Photographer here was the new Creative Director Udo Gauss, successor of Alexander Hennig.
