"New look for Riverside".

[Translate to English:]

Trier’s meeting place back in operation since late January
The long wait has finally come to an end: Following an almost record-breaking renovation period, Trier’s dance hall reopened its gates after a 3 week break for renovations on 26 January 2000 for all night owls – and those aspiring to be.
Just in time for its 5th birthday – on Valentine’s Day 2000 – Trier’s entertainment center Riverside presented its new audiovisual millennium outfit.
“Welcome to Starship Riverside” is now the new motto in the entrance hall of the discotheque in Trier, where Eiffel 65’s song “Blue” is given a new spark with thousands of lights and breath-taking water columns. The brand-new atrium convinces with planetarium-like charm and the new bar invites to a welcome drink. One last look into the gigantic bar mirror, and then the ultimate dancing experience in the completely restyled “Fantasy Dancing”, the modern mega discotheque made by Riverside, can begin.
Groundbreaking LOBO laser system
Here too – in the heart of the Riverside – not only plenty of air brushing was used, but an atmosphere was created with great attention to detail that is unparalleled in German discotheques. Thy hyper-modern laser system “Modula-5” is sure to become a visual attraction for all dance and action freaks. The laser system of the internationally renowned company LOBO, which is already causing a sensation in Riverside Kaiserslautern, will now make hip rhythms appear even hotter in the entertainment center in Trier.
Following several LOBO installations and successful LOBO events in Germany and abroad (e.g. in Thailand, Hongkong/China, Vietnam, India and, last but not least, during the Offerta in Karlsruhe), Riverside boss Bernd Gritzmacher decided to open new galaxies of laser technology for his guests in Germany. Even in the basic version, the system can already play laser shows with more than 16 million colors. Furthermore, the elaborate MODULA-5 system is not only capable to project colorful 3D laser animations onto several projection surfaces, but also to cover the entire discotheque in three-dimensional light sculptures. A total of 32 special mirrors distributed around Fantasy Dancing make rousing, breathtaking beam storms appear above the head of the guests in tune with the music and provide for an unforgettable experience for all senses.
As the centerpiece of the system, the newly developed laser controller MODULA-C5 is located in the desk of the light-jockey. From here, the operator can decide whether he wants to avail of LOBO’s award-winning show library or if he wants to use the elaborate live operating system to personally create an audiovisual spectacle fitting with any music. Here, imagination truly knows no bounds!
By now, LOBO electronic has become globally synonymous with high tech and quality in the field of show and animation laser. In several independent market analyses, the Aalen-based company was even named as global market leader in the show laser industry. LOBO’s list of references reads like a who-is-who of globally operating mega corporations, from A as in Allianz to Z as in Zeiss. All over the globe, LOBO’s laser systems “Dreams of Light” are in use. High-quality references of the South German company include the German Museum in Munich (worldwide leading planetarium), the BMW Museum of BMW AG in Munich, the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg, the Semperoper in Dresden, the Planetarium Mannheim, the Kammerfestspiele Munich, the Dream Theater „Salome“, the Planetarium Stuttgart, and last but not least the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth. Having won multiple ILDA Awards (26 awards within the last 4 years alone) LOBO continues to define the global standards of the technically feasible in the show laser and multimedia technology. In the future, MODULA-5 – a “quantum leap” in laser technology – will open up new horizons for the many diverse events of Riverside.
Relaxed sounds in new piano bar
Those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere will find a special oasis of peace in the completely refurbished bistro with new piano bar. Accompanied by virtuous piano sounds, the Havana will taste even better.
Speaking of appetite – due to ever-increasing demand, the Riverside restaurant was also expanded to offer even more guests culinary delights until the early hours of the morning.
It goes without saying that the dance mecca “Hollywood” was also given a helping hand for fans of samba and salsa to usher in a new dimension of entertainment.
What Riverside boss Bernd Gritzmacher, in cooperation with the companies Plan Objekt Person GmbH (Saarbrücken) and MHB (Bexbach) as well as the laser experts from the company LOBO, has achieved in a very short space of time with an investment volume of around DM 1.5 million, will once again inspire the 30,000 or so guests who dance to the hot Riverside rhythms every month to a new night owl existence.
