On 1 December 2006, the Aalen-based laser show specialist LOBO was responsible for the highlight at the opening ceremony of the 15th Asian Games in Doha, the capital of the Arab Emirate Qatar, with a gigantic dream sequence. Under outmost secrecy, the preparations for this event took a total of seven months. Following two work dates on site, a five-person team of designers and engineers travelled to Doha three weeks before the actual opening ceremony to install the technology and for programming works and rehearsals. Not even the smallest detail was left to chance. In parts, the system had quadruple redundancy.
