In Frankfurt, the laser show specialist LOBO unveiled the stand-alone version of its ZAPHIR laser moving head, presented for the first time last year, based on the quick and precise mechanics of the Varyscan-7 series of JB lighting. Thanks to LOBO’s quickest and most precise scanning system and a high-quality optical system, ZAPHIR makes no compromises when it comes to display quality and can also be used for the projection of high-quality graphics or even of extensive “scanline laser videos”. ZAPHIR moving heads are available with an integrated green laser, using an extremely fast and high-quality brightness modulation, or in a fiber optics supplied version for high light outputs in color. With diverse connection and configuration options, ZAPHIR can be retroactively integrated into basically any laser system. With the new additional electronics MICON-SZ DMX, ZAPHIR can now also be controlled fully via DMX for the first time, just like a conventional moving light: laser gobos with effects, head position and laser control.
Additionally, LOBO presented a new generation of laser systems with digital 12-line color mixing unit with automatic calibration and fully digital scanning systems. Newly developed peripheral devices for the integration of conventional analogous projectors as well as DDL converters for media control now use the same optical data cable, previously used by LOBO only for the transmission of digital control data for laser projectors. With this, control signals for RS-232, parallel ports, DMX and even audio can now also be transmitted. For the user, the entire system acts as one closed unit, as they have direct access to the status as well as all parameters of the individual devices from the controller. While the configuration and adjustment of laser systems previously required a lot of work, a few mouse clicks are now sufficient to make the system ready for operation. In addition, the new DDL-2 system also offers the fastest laser safety logic on the market, so that laser shows with LOBO systems offer the audience a pleasure without regrets.
