"LOBO stages an interactive laser show"

From 5 August until 10 September the Holiday Park, located in Hassloch, Rhineland-Palatinate, opened its gates with all its attractions always on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. The glamorous highlight of the hot summer nights was the about 20-minute-long gigantic laser show "Power of the Night" over the lake of the Aqua Stadium, staged by the Aalen-based laser specialists LOBO for the second year running. For arguably Germany's largest laser show this summer, 4 laser systems, a gigantic swimming water projection surface for the generation of hologram-like laser projections, as well as 20 fog and wind generators were installed on an around the lake.
Last year, the show caused a stir not only among the spectators, but also among experts: For instance, the finale of last year's summer nights show was crowned the best atmospheric laser show with multiple projectors by the global umbrella organization of the laser show industry (ILDA) in Las Vegas. LOBO's Creative Art-Director, the creative head behind the show. "Following the experiences we made last year, we were able to pull out all the stops both content-wise as well as musically in 2005. The most important new development: The audience will no longer consist of merely passive spectators, but they will be able to actively participate in the show." Everything from simple clapping to rhythmic movements up to music-synchronous jumping was included. Colorful glow sticks were distributed so that the interactive elements also have an effect in the dark.
Before the event, presenter Patrick Winter put the audience into the right mood and instructed the spectators about the interactive show elements in a witty way: "Inside the red warning triangle, you will see an action that you will all repeat after the countdown. The red triangle will then transform into a green triangle... "While the spectators were still rehearsing, they suddenly found themselves in a sea of laser light and actually became a part of the show. Creative Art-Director: "Admittedly, we were quite nervous before the show, as we were unsure if the spectators would actually participate. However, we were so overwhelmed by the feedback for the interactive laser show that we integrated even more elements after the first couple of shows."
